Entrepreneurship is calling. And for some, it comes from necessity.

When Imran Rajput, a formally trained dental hygienist, was injured in a road accident, his hopes of working in his field got shattered. He turned to retail jobs, but was turned away. His inability to walk was hampered and he soon started selling small items on the sidewalk.

With low returns and many mouths to feed, he sought friends’s help, one of whom suggested he turn to online marketplaces to sell various high-demand items in the cosmetics and party-planning category.

And thus, his journey with Rocket Internet’s online P2P platform Kaymu began.

Shortly thereafter, he was interviewed by Express News on his groundbreaking success by fighting against all odds. And a week before the Valentine’s Day, Kaymu featured him on its Facebook page.

But it was when people of Karachi took notice that things really took a turn for the better. Within a day of his story being published on the Facebook page, his product sales on Kaymu skyrocketed from a meagre eight orders a month to 15 orders in only two days.

Rajput’s struggles include, but are not limited to, numerous trips to the market each week and massive power shortage in Orangi Town (where he resides), resulting in working late hours to upload product listings. But, when the order levels rose almost 30 times last week, it made his struggles and efforts worthwhile, he feels.

I reached out to Ali Zain Sheikh, who recently got promoted as Country Manager for Kaymu.pk. He said: “Pakistan has over 200 million people, almost 54 per cent of who are under the age of 25. Some of them have jobs, some don’t. My message is for the latter.”

“The top performing categories at Kaymu are clothing, health & beauty, watches & jewellery, and electronics. Click here and sign up to the Kaymu challenge. It’s a challenge to commemorate the third anniversary of Kaymu. If you are up to the challenge, create your seller account and start your business now. We guarantee your time will not be wasted. We are calling out to anyone and everyone. Whether male or female, young or old — this is your chance to control the direction of your life,” he added.

In light of Rajput’s story and with concerns about lack of market access, Kaymu is now offering wholesale bundles at best prices. Take advantage of this by hopping onto Kaymu Wholesale and ordering now. Once delivered, sell them on Kaymu on a per unit margin and there is absolutely nothing that stops you from earning a living via the Internet.

If you are interested in buying from Kaymu Wholesale and then selling online, you register with the firm, and one of their representatives will connect with you for complete guidance on how to set up your own business.

Remember when negotiating with wholesalers that time constraints, the laws of supply & demand, an understanding of motivations and an understanding of your bargaining range are critical for a win-win outcome.

By 2020, Pakistan’s e-commerce market is projected to surpass US$1 billion.

There is nothing stopping anyone in Asia from seizing control of their future so long as Internet companies continue to invest, inform and grow.
