The experience of shopping online varies from each e-commerce platform. Some offer such a pleasant experience; you find yourself breaking the bank, others are so horrid; you feel the overwhelming urge to fire off nasty, profanity-laden emails to the customer service team.

The basics of a good e-commerce sites can be distilled down to not only good content but also good UI/UX design at each stage of the transaction. Losing a customer because filling out your checkout page is more complicated than filing your taxes would be pretty crummy.
