India’s HealthCare atHOME (HCAH) has announced its plans to launch an Internet-based healthcare service in the country in partnership with Japanese healthcare media major M3 Inc.

The partnership aims to provide an online and mobile platform for doctors to stay connected to news, best practices, innovations, and the latest research from global peers and experts.

The digital platform aimed at the healthcare community will also offer customised and continued medical education(CME) that will help improve practices, and also improve patient care in the long-term.

The new entity will work closely with other key players in the healthcare sector, including pharma companies, hospitals and the government to improve the quality of communication and dissemination of relevant medical information amongst various stakeholders in the healthcare fraternity.

M3 is listed on the Tokyo stock exchange with over US$10 billion in market capitalisation, and offers a wide range of value add services to pharmaceutical companies and hospital clients globally. The company will introduce several of these services to the Indian market.

HCAH and M3 expect the growth of the market for digital marketing of pharmaceutical products to exceed US$360 million by 2020. M3 has a successful track record in Japan, the US, Korea, the UK and China.

With this partnership, M3 will now directly cover countries inhabited by roughly 3.3 billion people or 40 per cent of the world’s population.

Vivek Srivastava, Co-founder and CEO of HCAH, said: “This JV will help HCAH increase its service offerings to the healthcare & life sciences sector. Our Pharma clients will be able to reduce their costs and increase the reach of their drugs. With the high-value content, we will be able to offer doctors and practitioners and we hope it will give them an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and network. This will improve clinical outcomes and costs for the patients over the long term.”

HCAH brings quality health care to the home, offering comfort and convenience to patients right at their doorsteps. It provides a wide range of medical and clinical services that cover a variety of ailments. Some of HCAH’s unique services include Home ICU, Home Cardiac Care, Home Oncology Services, Post-Surgical Care, Home Pulmonology Services, etc.

HCAH is backed by the Burman family (the promoters of Dabur) and the founders of the Health Care at Home UK.
