Even with the highs and lows across the region, online grocery delivery services are an integral part of the tech startup scene in Southeast Asia.

Companies like Singapore’s RedMart are some of the more successful companies in the startup economy and we read about funding, grocery wars and delivery battles between startups like honestbee, HappyFresh and Sukamart.

But what about the other end of the transaction? What are the people buying? When are the purchases being made? Who are the people using these services?

HappyFresh provided e27 an infographic with a bit of insight into the consumer-level of its operation. Is it indicative of the entire scene? No. But it does shine a light on a major player.
