Last-mile delivery service Ninja Van has added new ways for customers to get their parcels.
The Singapore-based startup has announced the launch of Ninja Collect, which aims to provide customers with an option to collect their parcels from automated lockers and partner retail shops. They will be known as Ninja Boxes and Ninja Points, respectively.
“Young Singaporeans nowadays live very busy lives. I understand the frustrations of having to put aside a few hours on any given day just to wait for my e-commerce purchase, which is why I felt the need to expand our range of services to include Ninja Collect. We want to give young Singaporeans the autonomy and flexibility to pick up their parcels at a time and place that is most convenient for them,” said Lai Chang Wen, CEO and Co-founder of Ninja Van.

Ninja Boxes will be akin to SingPost’s own POPStations. They will be strategically located in high-traffic urban sites such as universities, polytechnics, and business parks. Customers can collect their parcels by scanning a verification code sent to them via email or SMS.
On the other hand, Ninja Points will include retail, pharmaceutical, hardware and grocery outlets in urban areas with high footfall.
E-commerce customers can search for and find the most convenient Ninja Collect location via a website. Upon selecting a desired Ninja Collect location, customers can then copy and paste its address into the “Shipping Address” field on the check-out page of the e-commerce site. Once the parcel is delivered to a Ninja Collect location, the customer is notified via email or SMS with a verification code. He/she then verifies the code with the cashier at the Ninja Point or scans the code at the Ninja Box.
