The lifestyle hotel hops aboard the city’s co-working trend by offering a package for entrepreneurs

Ovolo Hotels, a collection of lifestyle hotels in Hong Kong and Australia launched Mojo Nomad, the first live-in co-working space in Hong Kong, last month.

The initiative comes alongside the Global Mojo Nomad Search competition, where two entrepreneurs will be selected to live in month-long accommodations at the hotel’s locations in Hong Kong and Sydney.

The Mojo Nomad initiative provides discounted prices for Hong Kong startups and entrepreneurs desiring a co-living and workspace environment. The price tag, however, isn’t cheap. The current rate per night is HK$789 (US$100), with weekly rates at HK$5,460 and monthly rates from HK$23,400 (US$3,020).

It’s ideal, the hotel tells e27, for entrepreneurs who might be passing by Hong Kong or interested in checking out the scene but don’t want to worry about navigating a city looking for Wi-Fi or work space.

With the package, guests receive a 24-hour space to work, free breakfast, gym, mid-day happy hour, self laundry services and access to networking events.

“Hong Kong’s entrepreneurial and freelance community has exploded over the last few years. More and more creative and ambitious professionals are looking to Hong Kong as their desired locale for entering the rising Asia market,” says Ovolo Hotels’ CEO and Founder, Girish Jhunjhnuwala.

There is a cheaper way of getting access, which is by entering Nest’s programme. Nest is currently partnering with Ovolo, and startups selected into Nest’s accelerator programs receive free accommodations during the duration of the program.

The Global Mojo Nomad Search competition, which, as a grand prize, also includes flights to Hong Kong and one-on-one mentoring ends February 29, 2016. The initiative applies to any entrepreneur from around the world, preferably with a registered or established business.
