The online kids market is set to grow significantly over the next few years, with the internet now beating television as the favorite pastime.
Singapore-based TotallyAwesome, which allows brands to put their wares in front of children, is banking on that growth. Today, the company announced it raised US$2 million from UK’s serial investor Nigel Wray to support is expansion.
Known in Europe and the US as SuperAwesome, the company matches brands with relevant content publishers, delivering marketing campaigns for kids. Those campaigns are guaranteed compliant with data protection laws covering children.
The company, also backed by venture builder Inspire Ventures, claims to reach more than 100 million kids and teens monthly via mobile and web in Asia-Pacific.
Soon it will roll out a social content app called PopJam that’s designed for the under-13 audience.
Apart from Singapore, TotallyAwesome is available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia.
