The Thailand-based startup has crossed the one million reservations mark aided by sevenfold growth in the first 10 months of this year

Fresh from being crowned the Digital/Online Startup of the Year at the Rice Bowl Startup Awards two weeks ago, online restaurant reservation app eatigo has raised a “multimillion US dollars” Series A round from undisclosed strategic investors, according to an official release today.

Reservations for the 18-month-old startup have crossed the one-million mark with 25 per cent month-on-month growth, seeing the business expand seven times over the first 10 months this year, the company said.

“The whole founding team is thrilled to have found partners who share our vision for eatigo and who will play an important part in getting us to where we want to be,” said Michael Cluzel, CEO and Co-founder of eatigo.

The funds will be used to strengthen eatigo’s presence in its current markets of Thailand and Singapore. It plans to do this by increasing user and merchant acquisition. It will also pour over US$1M into offline brand building in support of its online channels.
