Singapore-based “live fantasy sport” app Ballr announced that it has sealed a partnership with Indonesian media mogul VIVA Group to enter the country’s sports fan market.

Set to launch in Indonesia on October 2016, Ballr is an app that enables users to interact and compete in virtual football matches as they watch the actual live broadcast of the game itself. Top players will have the opportunity to win prizes such as shoes, mobile phones, watches, and even a trip to Old Trafford, Manchester United’s stadium.

Though Ballr is meant for many different types of game sports, the company will focus on English Premier League for its launch in Indonesia. According to a press statement by the company, the Leagues is being watched by more than 100 million viewers in the country every weekend.

“Our partnership with VIVA enables Ballr to reach consumers through the media network built by VIVA’s group companies, which already has its own news and sports broadcast channels, with the reach of almost 180 million viewers,” according to Ballr Founder Sam Jones.

Ballr monetises by helping brands reach to their audience through native advertising. The company claims to have partnered with several brands in Indonesia ahead of it formal launch.

The company has offices in Sydney, Delhi, and Singapore.
