Bangkok-based WorkVenture today announced it closed a seed funding round worth US$420,000 from several investors, including leading businessmen Sommaphat Traisorat and Songphon Chaovanayothin. Further details were not provided.

WorkVenture, previously known as JobNisit, is a jobs portal that wants to help millennials in Thailand by matching them with relevant positions based on their experience and profile. It does so through an in-house algorithm known as the ‘WorkScore.’

The startup claims to simplify the entire process of job hunting by providing insights on company culture through reviews, office pictures, and other interactive content.

It also helps recruiters: its algorithm prevents a flood of job applications, helping them screen only the most suitable candidates.

The venture started operations in 2014, and claims to have 400,000 monthly visitors with 500 employers sourcing talent.

“Thailand is experiencing a candidate’s market, and companies have to step up their employer branding to attract top talent,” explained Jens Pold, CEO of WorkVenture.

We’ve reached out to WorkVenture for further details and will update the article when we hear back.

Converted from Thai Baht. US$ 1 = THB 35.63.
