Despite has not been formally launched, Storia claimed to have secured 10,000 property agents and 20,000 listings

C2C e-commerce platform OLX Indonesia first announced plan to launch a property listing site during a media event in January. Today in late April, users can finally take a glimpse of the new portal Storia.

“As the name suggested, Storia expects to become the most complete property listing site for all users, [a process that] begins with a story,” OLX Indonesia CEO Daniel Tumiwa described the company’s new subsidiary.

According to a report by DailySocial, Storia will specificaly target property agents, to become a platform that connects property agents and potential buyers.

“Property agents will get premium service such as tools that allow them to record property data in two portals at the same time, Storia and OLX Indonesia, in just one process,” said Storia Indonesia GM Marine Novita.

Novita also explained that in the future, the platform is going to monetise by applying membership system and paid features for property agents who put their ad listing on Storia.

Storia is accessible for users all over Indonesia, though currently it only features property listing in Greater Jakarta Area.

It is available on Android and iOS devices, and is also accessible on desktop and mobile site.

Property listing is a relatively hot subsector in Indonesian e-commerce scene; prior to Storia, the local scene is already copetitive with the presence of Lamudi, Urbanindo, Rumah, and Rumah123.

In December 2015, PropertyGuru acquired real estate portal RumahDijual for an undisclosed amount. Combined with PropertyGuru’s Indonesian site Rumah, the company will have access to 5.5 million monthly visitors and 500,000 property listings in the country.
