Wingify recently acquired US-based visitor analytics solution firm Navilytics
Indian SaaS startup Wingify has launched a product called PushCrew that enables any website — mobile or desktop –to send push notifications to its visitors.
Push notifications are clickable messages sent directly to the browsers or mobile phones of customers, even when they are not on the website.
PushCrew was soft-launched in August and claims to have attracted hundreds of businesses who collectively send more than 100,000 notifications per day through the service.

Founded in 2009 by Paras Chopra, Wingify offers tools that help businesses improve their websites by tracking visitor behaviour, testing improvement ideas and targetting visitors for personalisation. Its claim to fame is its Visual Website Optimizer, an A/B Testing tool, which the company claims is used by over 4,000 brands globally,
PushCrew can be used to send notifications to Safari and Chrome for now and will soon add support for Firefox and Internet Explorer.

“Email marketing is facing decreasing open rates and click rates because users’ inboxes are flooding with spam. However, push notifications is strictly opt-in, which means that the control stays with the users and, hence, click rates are higher,” says Paras Chopra, Founder and CEO, Wingify
The product launch comes close on the heels of its acquisition of US-based visitor analytics solution firm Navilytics. Thought the acquisition the Wingify is trying to transform VWO from being a ‘no-coding required’ A/B testing tool to a full-featured conversion optimisation platform.
