Yahoo’s board is considering a potential sale of its internet business, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The board, set to meet Wednesday through Friday, will reportedly decide whether to sell Yahoo’s web properties or continue with plans to spin off its stake in e-commerce company Alibaba (or potentially do both).
The decision comes more than three years after CEO Marissa Mayer took over at Yahoo in the hopes that she could turn around the company. In spite of numerous efforts, Yahoo has struggled to create popular apps and services under her leadership.
