Go-Jek CEO Nadiem Makarim also hints about new, upcoming service called ‘Go-Pulsa’
Ride-hailing app Go-Jek announced on Monday afternoon a new partnership with Indonesian telco operator Telkomsel and telco trade company Tiphone Indonesia.
Through this partnership, Go-Jek will aid Telkomsel in widening its mobile phone credit top-up distribution channels, while Tiphone will contribute as sales aggregator.
The detail of the partnership includes:
- Telkomsel to provide 250,000 SIM cards for Go-Jek drivers, which allows free calls to customers and fellow drivers, apart from other benefits
- Go-Jek drivers will be able to top-up their credits through their Go-Jek app, while Go-Jek passengers can also buy phone credits from their drivers
- Telkomsel will also use Go-Jek service to deliver new 4G-enabled SIM cards to its customers
As reported by DailySocial, Telkomsel expects to reap IDR 150 billion (US$11 million) per month through the partnership.

Go-Jek CEO Nadiem Makarim also used the opportunity to hint about a new, upcoming service called Go-Pulsa, which will be available in the next four months.
“Go-Pulsa will be one of our new products to come out soon. But it’s still too early [to talk about it]. There are still a few months [before it is launched]. But since today we are launching a partnership with Telkomsel, then I’d like to use the opportunity to announce our new product,” he stated.
