Called Mi Home, the store also provides venue for fan gathering events
Following rumours that had been circulating since last week, consumer electronic goods company Xiaomi officially opened its first flagship store at Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta on Friday.
Called Mi Home, the launch was attended by more than 40 Xiaomi users (Mi Fans) from Greater Jakarta Area and Bandung.
Apart from selling Xiaomi’s gadgets and peripherals, the store also has a venue to host events, stressing the company’s aim to foster a community of fans in the store.
Kompas Tekno reported that the store even has Google Cardboard for customers to try out the virtual reality feature in Xiaomi’s smartphones, and a gallery of photos taken by fans using them.
Users also get to try out Xiaomi products that have not yet released in Indonesia, such as Mi Headphone HiFi.
