Four former IIT Guwahati graduates have come together to launch ‘Startup Entrepreneurs’ to offer free incubation, mentorship, workspace and funding to Indian startups.

Conceptualised as a club, the Delhi-based incubator will offer all possible supports to innovative technology startups in the domains of Internet, mobile and software technology.

The incubator, which expects to kickstart the programme by the end of this month, can accommodate 50 startups at a time. The co-working space has free desks, Internet, electricity, Wi-Fi, cafeteria, lounge, meeting room, and parking.

“Unlike other incubators, we don’t take equity in startups. We analyse challenges of individual startups and then support them without increasing their risk. We call it more as an inside support rather than an outside support provided by other incubators. We connect startups with our experienced mentors, so that experience and passion come together which increases the startups’ chances of success,” Rameshwar Paswan, Head of Startup Entrepreneurs, told e27.

Startup Entrepreneurs will follow a ‘self-finance’ model for startups to generate money for their daily needs. As for this model, an entrepreneur can work in collaboration with other members on various consultancy projects to generate revenue. The revenues will be shared amongst entrepreneurs to improve their financial situation and avoid extreme situations like giving up the project or delaying their journey due to financial constrains.

As it moves forward, the incubator will set up a fund to support and invest in startups with great potential.

Other people behind the venture are Chandan Pandey, Ashish Kumar Sinha and Ajit Kumar.
